HackersGhost AI 0.2.5 — Linux beta

Parrot OS has been tested. Kali Linux has not yet been tested.
Requires Python 3.11+, venv support and internet access for dependencies.

Extract this ZIP, open a terminal in the extracted folder, then run:
    python3 install.py
Type INSTALL when asked. Do not run as root or with sudo.

The installer verifies the publisher-signed application package and creates:
    ~/.local/share/hackersghost-ai/runtime/
    ~/.local/share/hackersghost-ai/releases/
    ~/.local/bin/hackersghost-ai
You may delete the downloaded/extracted installer after successful installation.
Keep the runtime environment above; it is used by the launcher.
An existing installation is never overwritten; use its update command instead.

First AI session:
    ~/.local/bin/hackersghost-ai --model YOUR_MODEL_ID
Choose an OpenAI model your API account supports. Enter your own API key at the
hidden prompt, or supply OPENAI_API_KEY in your environment. API charges are
separate from ChatGPT subscriptions. Keys are never included. Optional desktop Linux keyring storage:
    ~/.local/bin/hackersghost-ai api-key save
    ~/.local/bin/hackersghost-ai api-key status
    ~/.local/bin/hackersghost-ai api-key delete
Requires secret-tool (libsecret-tools) and an available desktop Secret Service
keyring. Without it, use the hidden prompt. No plaintext fallback is used.
Questions and confirmed files are sent to OpenAI. Session history is in-memory.

Optional success statistics (off by default):
    ~/.local/bin/hackersghost-ai statistics on
    ~/.local/bin/hackersghost-ai statistics status
    ~/.local/bin/hackersghost-ai statistics off
Enabling requires typing ENABLE after the disclosure. Only event type and version
are sent to hackersghost.com. No API keys, questions, logs or persistent client ID.
Hosting access logs may record IP addresses; the receiver uses a short-lived salted
network hash for rate limiting. Enabling reports the current installation; future
successful updates report once, best effort, without a retry queue. Re-enabling
can count the current installation again; totals are not unique people.

Updates:
    ~/.local/bin/hackersghost-ai check-update
    ~/.local/bin/hackersghost-ai update
    ~/.local/bin/hackersghost-ai auto-update on
    ~/.local/bin/hackersghost-ai auto-update off
    ~/.local/bin/hackersghost-ai auto-update status
    ~/.local/bin/hackersghost-ai rollback
Automatic installation defaults to off. When enabled, checks occur at app startup,
at most once per day. No background service. Rollback disables automatic installs.

Download the initial installer only from the official HackersGhost website.
The bundled application is signed; the bootstrap itself relies on that initial
trusted download. The manifest expires after 30 days; an expired installer needs
to be refreshed by its publisher. Running install.py --verify-only checks the
bundle without installing, if cryptography is already available in your Python.

No automatic shell-command execution. Review AI suggestions yourself.
No persistent memory, Markdown export, GUI or automatic key rotation yet.
