AI help,
without living in the terminal.
HackersGhost AI GUI brings the same security-first idea into a desktop window for Kali, Parrot OS and Debian-based Linux desktops. Ask cybersecurity questions, review answers and keep the final decision in your hands.

Use a window, not a prompt.
Type questions in a graphical interface when you want AI help without keeping a terminal conversation open.
Read first. Act second.
HackersGhost AI is there to explain and assist. Treat model output as advice to verify, not permission to run commands blindly.
CLI or GUI. Same project.
Use the interface that fits the task. The CLI remains available for terminal-first workflows and the GUI provides a desktop alternative.

Beta, with a clear scope. GUI 0.1.5 is a source-based Linux desktop preview, not a standalone binary installer. Install with sudo apt install python3 python3-pip python3-venv libxcb-cursor0, then run bash scripts/run_gui.sh inside the extracted HackersGhost-AI-0.1.5 folder. The launcher creates a local .venv and installs PySide6 and cryptography. The public 0.1.5 ZIP and signed GUI update feed were verified online on 10 October 2026. GUI chat and desktop shortcut launch were confirmed on Kali and Parrot OS. All 50 GUI automated tests passed on Parrot OS. Updates to 0.1.5, basic security chat and refusal of unrelated joke requests were confirmed on both Kali Linux and Parrot OS. The GUI does not execute shell commands, browse the web, store conversations to disk, or modify the published CLI build.
Scope and update notices. HackersGhost AI is a specialized assistant, not a general-purpose AI chatbot. This release is focused strictly on cybersecurity, defensive security and authorized ethical hacking. Linux, networking and programming questions must relate to that scope; unrelated requests, including jokes, are declined. These are model instructions, not a guarantee that every response is safe or correct. In OpenAI mode, the GUI checks its signed feed at startup and shows a notice when a newer verified release is available. Offline demo startup skips this check. Downloading and installing updates remain manual.
Optional privacy tip
Optional privacy tip: HackersGhost AI does not require a VPN, but using one can be a sensible extra privacy layer when working from public or untrusted networks. A VPN protects your network connection; it does not make unauthorized security testing legal or anonymous.
For that extra privacy layer, AdGuard VPN is my preferred general VPN recommendation on HackersGhost.
